One of the products that can be offered at Foulad Mashin Delijan is bitumen with a penetration degree of 85-100. This bitumen is obtained by performing the aeration process on the vacuum baton (the raw material of bitumen production which is taken from the residue of the distillation tower in the vacuum of oil refineries) in the bitumen units. There are many uses of this bitumen in road construction, construction, insulation, etc. industries.
This product is more suitable for cold regions of the country due to its degree of penetration, which is softer than bitumen 70-60.
This bitumen is packaged in different packages, including standard export barrels of 160 kg, standard export barrels of 190 kg, jumbo bag packaging, as well as packaging in flexi molds in high volumes and packaging on pallets and also bulk bitumen.
Specifications of bitumen 85/100
Bitumen 100-85 has a penetration degree of 8.5 to 10 mm and its softening point is between 45 and 52. The quality of this bitumen depends on its properties and physical characteristics. Aside from the penetration test, there are a number of tests used to determine 85-100 bitumen, including viscosity, softening point, ductility, heat loss, and flash point.
