Izogam polyester is one of the main and most important components of all types of waterproofing (Izogam) which is produced with fibers. Non-woven polyester is produced according to the world’s standard and according to the needs of customers, and Izogam polyester has its own characteristics.
- Needle polyester (non-woven), which is waterproof and actually shows the least reaction with water, is used as a layer and saturated with bitumen melt in Izogam, which is very important in order to strengthen the elasticity of Izogam.
- Another characteristic of needle polyester is that it changes state due to heat and has a high level of tensile strength, it is also flammable at high temperature.
- The important point in choosing polyester is that the polyester surface is uniform and relatively smooth.
Polyester is a group of polymers known as polyethylene terephthalate (PET) as a special material. Polyesters include natural and synthetic chemicals such as polybutyrate. Synthetic polyesters are widely used in geotextile layers, fabrics and clothing. In the production of isogam, the amount of bitumen absorption depends on the type of polyester and its corrosion rate, and in terms of weight, the maximum weight of each roll is 40 kg and it should not exceed this weight.
Characteristics of needle-punched polyester (non-woven)
- Polyester fibers must be in accordance with the specifications of standard 3880.
- The textile produced must be 100% polyester.
- Polyester non-woven fabric according to standard 3889 with glass fiber felt according to the specifications of standard 3891.
- The fabric should be flat and uniform and not uneven
- The fabric should not be sticky during production and packaging (rolling) at a temperature between 10 and 70 degrees.
- The absorption of juice to the polyester surface should be uniform.
